Årsrapport 2025Unibio – provides a boundless protein source without compromising the planet Unibio is commercialising an affordable, scalable, planet-friendly protein solution that seamlessly integrates into global food and feed systems. Unibio can produce sustainable protein without any use of arable land and with low water usage. The protein is produced through fermentation using methane from natural gas or biogas as the main feedstock. By using its technology, Unibio can produce single cell protein in boundless quantities. The protein is approved for animal feed in the EU and is under approval in other regions. Protein for human consumption is under development. With a rapidly growing global population and increasing food insecurity, there is a huge demand for sustainable products such as Unibio's Uniprotein®. Unibio has developed this technology to an industrial scale and is rolling it out globally.
Development in activities and financesOverview Over the past twelve months we have been pleased to report significant progress along multiple avenues that determine our path to commercialisation. Our projects in the Middle East have advanced, including the formationof a joint venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The commercial markets for Uniprotein®, in particular aqua feed, have been developed further, with extensive trials and testing. New product areas are also under regulatoryprogress, in particular for human food ingredients. Beyond this, we have continued to evolve the pipeline of future production activities, with a particular focus on the North America continent. Our core focus remains the commercialisation of our sustainable, and highly scalable, source of protein to global end markets. However, the efficacy of our technology has continued to attract inbound enquiries this year. We believe that these have the potential to create alternative sources of licensing income for shareholders as these projects evolve. Against this backdrop of accelerating commercial activity and investment in future income streams, the Company has delivered a near flat financial performance year-over-year.
